Dining & Entertainment
is one of the most popular Interest Group in the Newcomers' Club.

The responsibility for organizing Dining and Entertainment rests on every member. That is, it is shared among the members by everyone taking their turn at organizing at least one event. That way, we are more likely to experience a more varied Dining & Entertainment.

The procedure for organizing this group is simple enough. The organizer for a particular event picks a restaurant (it can be a pub, grill, diner, coffee shop or some fancy establishment); he/she speaks to the owners of that facility to see how they can best accommodate the group, and then inform the group of the time, location, date, cost and whether there is entertainment following dinner. Sometimes, it can be Dinner (alone), Entertainment (alone), or both. In reality, it can take any form you wish to give it. The few simple rules include: each person wanting to participate is responsible for her/his own reservation or purchase of tickets (if there is entertainment); that person is also responsible for canceling if, he/she is unable to attend.

In spring 2004, David Callan & Sara Nadeau organized the first event.  On Sunday members of the newcomerswent to have brunch at Mountain Maple at Sunken Lake.  Some of the members also went for a sleigh ride.

Please check your calender for information on other events coming up.
